The Day es el cuarto álbum de estudio del cantante estadounidense de R&B Babyface.
Fue publicado por Epic Records el 22 de octubre de 1996 en EE.UU.
El álbum alcanzó el número 6 en la lista US Billboard 200 y el número 4 en la lista Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, llegando también al top ten en la lista Dutch Albums Chart.The Day fue certificado doble platino por la Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), y recibió nominaciones a los premios Grammy como Álbum del Año y Mejor Álbum de R&B respectivamente.

Del álbum, el tema "Every Time I Close My Eyes" fue nominado a la Mejor Interpretación Vocal Pop Masculina. Un dueto con Stevie Wonder, titulado "How Come, How Long", también fue nominado al Grammy a la mejor colaboración pop vocal. Además, los sencillos "This Is for the Lover in You" y "Every Time I Close My Eyes" alcanzaron el número 6 en la lista Billboard Hot 100 de Estados Unidos.
