The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus1 es el séptimo álbum en vivo de The Rolling Stones y quinto álbum de los Stones lanzado por el exmánager Allen Klein de ABKCO Records (quien tomó el control del material que la banda había registrado para Decca/London en 1970) después de que la banda rompiera con Decca y Klein. Lanzado en 1996, el álbum captura las grabaciones del especial televisivo de 1968 "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus", que no se emitió hasta décadas más tarde
The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus se rodó el 11 de diciembre de 1968, pero permaneció inédito hasta 1996. Eric Clapton forma parte del supergrupo "The Dirty Mac", junto con John Lennon, Keith Richards y Mitch Mitchell.
El 30 de abril de 2019, se anunció que los Rolling Stones lanzarían el 7 de junio de 2019 a través de ABKCO una nueva caja remasterizada de Rock and Roll Circus (4 discos y vinilo 3LP). La reedición de 2019 contaría con audio y vídeo remasterizados del concierto original y algún material extra como grabaciones inéditas y nunca antes escuchadas de "Revolution" de los Beatles y una "Warmup Jam" del improvisado supergrupo de John Lennon, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell, Eric Clapton, los Dirty Mac, así como tres canciones adicionales de Taj Mahal. Una versión de los Stones interpretando "Parachute Woman" también estaría disponible sólo en streaming. La película también incluirá nuevos comentarios de Richards, Mick Jagger, Michael Lindsay-Hogg, Yoko Ono, Marianne Faithfull y el director de fotografía Tony Richmond, además de una entrevista a Pete Townshend.
